Severe Weather Concerns

On the image below, the upper right is the Storm Prediction Center’s overall risk, with our area shaded in the slight risk. The upper right panel is the tornado risk, with our area highlighted in a low risk for tornados. The lower left is the hail threat and the lower right is the straight-line wind threat. The greatest risk for severe weather will be across Georgia and Alabama.

Storm Preparation

Keep in mind that I have storm preparation info on my link at https://meteorologistmark.com/severe-weather-safety/

Also, you need to download the Cumberland County EMA app for information. Have multiple ways to get warnings and one of those ways should be the Cumberland County EMA app (don’t forget to have a weather radio, too!).

Winter Weather Concerns

The greatest risk for accumulating snowfall will be across the western edge of the plateau, from Mayland to Monterey and western Fentress county.

Chance for a Snow Day

My confidence in a snow day has increased even more!
