HRRR Model
This short-term model shows accumulating snowfall. This begins at 9:00 a.m. today and ends at 9:00 a.m. Saturday. Notice the “northwest flow” of the snow. This kind of snow develops in response to moist northwest winds hitting the plateau. The Smokies may get 12-24 inches of snow!
