Severe Weather Awareness Week
Today begins SEVERE WEATHER AWARENESS WEEK! Each day features a new topic. Sunday’s topic is the importance of storm spotters. Trained storm spotters are our eyes on the skies and help us confirm what storms are really doing. Weather Summary
A nice Sunday is in store for us, though it will be a bit breezy. Mild temps begin today and stay with us through this 5-day forecast period.
There will be off and on shower chances this week, with Wednesday night offering the greatest risk for rain. There will also be a chance for thunderstorms and at least a low risk for a strong to severe storm. I’ll monitor that threat closely.
Thursday looks to be the warmest day of the week, with highs reaching at least the mid 70s. A cool front brings a chance for showers and some cooler air Thursday night and Friday. That cooler air will still bring highs in the 50s on Friday, which is still above normal. Normal highs for this time of year are about 50 degrees.
There continues to be no cold air in sight.
