Concerns
The Storm Prediction Center will likely issue a severe weather watch within the next couple of hours for our region. If your weather radio is turned on, it will likely be sounding off soon.
A broken line of strong to severe storms is expected to develop this afternoon and move into our area later this afternoon. The estimated arrival time will be between 3:00 and 9:00 across the plateau. The storms will move from northwest to southeast. Large hail, damaging winds, and flash flooding are possible with the strongest storms. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
On the radar image below, the red-circled area is the area being considered for a watch. I’ll keep a close eye on things!
