The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has issued a severe t-storm watch for parts of the Cumberland Plateau until 8:00 pm.
According to the SPC, “Damaging winds to 70 mph and hial up to 1.5 inches in diameter are both possible. An isolated tornado can’t be ruled out. “
This watch currently does not include Fentress County, but you all should assume it does, since you’re so close to the watch.
Let’s all stay weather-aware. If you know anyone camping or doing anything outdoors for the holiday weekend, make sure they know about this threat.
Storms will contain frequent cloud-to-ground lightning, torrential rainfall, and gusty winds that could become damaging.
The current radar shows things are getting active!
