Our line of storms began last night in Oklahoma and made it all the way to the plateau by this evening. As it encountered the plateau, it became much more disorganized. A system born on the flat plains is often discouraged when it encounters something like our plateau (ha). We can be thankful.
People are posting some ominous pictures of clouds on Facebook! These systems tend to impress when it comes to clouds but they’re often more bark than bite.
Be safe if out and about. There are still some lightning strikes in the area.
The severe t-storm watch has been dropped early.
We have more severe storm chances on Monday before better weather returns for Tuesday.
I’ll issue a special update at 8:30 concerning Monday’s severe storm potential.
