MM’s 5-Day Forecast

Yesterday’s Weather Statistics

Radar-Estimated Rainfall for Yesterday

On This Day

1956- Crossville’s low of 42 degrees establishes a new record for the month.

1992 – Hurricane Andrew makes landfall in Southern Florida as a Category 5 storm with wind guests estimated in excess of 175 m.p.h. Estimated damages exceeded $20 billion, more than 60 people were killed and approximately 2 million people were evacuated from their homes.

Tropics

The tropics are active, but only Franklin is one to watch very closely in the coming days. His path becomes a bit erratic by the weekend, and he’ll need to be watched in case he tries to move more westward toward the U.S.

Elsewhere across the tropics, Harold is moving into southern Texas this morning as a tropical storm, bringing those folks heavy rainfall and gusty winds. Gert and the two other disturbed areas marked with yellow x’s will stay out at sea.

Emergency Services

I’m so proud to be contracted with Crossville City Fire to provide critical weather support for emergency services!

Have a great day and keep lookin’ up!
