MM’s Sunday 5-Day

Sunday, May 19, 2024

Record High/Low for today: 90/32

On this day in 1989, thunderstorms developing ahead of a cold front spawned ten tornadoes from Illinois to Tennessee during the afternoon and night. And on this day in 1870, near-total darkness descends on New England through the afternoon, now known to be caused by forest fires in Canada.

Forecast Summary

Today is looking fantastic! Drier air has worked its way into the area and that will give us a fantastic day of good weather.

Monday through Wednesday are now looking drier, as well! We can’t rule out an isolated shower or sprinkle on Monday or Wednesday, but the vast majority (if not all of us) will stay dry.

Our next storm system has slowed down and now looks to arrive Thursday, with scattered showers and storms looking likely.
