Forecast Summary
A severe t-storm watch has now been issued for West Tennessee until 7:00 pm. We’ll need to track those storms as they make their way closer to the plateau late this evening (mainly after sunset). Keep in mind that any isolated storm that may develp this afternoon on the plateau could be strong. I’ll issued a special update this evening at 8:00 pm. Widespread severe weather is not expected tonight in our area, but a few strong (briefly severe?) storms are possible. My level of concern for today and tonight remains low. Please stay tuned for updates.
I want to emphasize that a multi-day severe weather threat looks to be evolving for our area starting tomorrow. As more data has come in today, it is becoming apparent that we will need to be weather aware from Thursday through Monday. At this time, Friday, Sunday, and Monday are currently looking like the days with the greatest threats. However, Sunday continues to look the most ominous. Stay tuned for updates.
If you have outdoor plans this holiday weekend, PLEASE make sure you check for weather updates frequently. Download the Meteorologist Mark app and I’ll keep you updated on the forecast. Make sure your phone can recieve severe weather warnings and make sure your weather radio is turned on.

Threats for the Week
I’m updating this for tonight’s special update at 8:00. Because a multi-day threat is developing, I’ll have this graphic for each day starting tomorrow. Stay tuned for those updated graphics coming this evening.
