Issued June 1 at 4:50 pm
Showers and thunderstorms have really begun to develop this afternoon, especially for you folks near the Kentucky border. That frontal boundary will continue to sag southward through the rest of the afternoon and evening. The risk for a severe storm is low, but not zero.

If you’re outside this evening, make sure you keep an eye on the radar. Have easy access to shelter, just in case you need it. And remember that if you can hear it thunder, you’re close enough to be struck by lightning (be especially aware of this if you’re out on a lake).
We remain in the marginal risk for severe storms, as issued by the Storm Prediction Center.

Local matters, especially when it comes to your weather!
My threat graphic is unchanged from this morning’s forecast.
I’ll keep an eye on things and do my best to let you know if there’s anything you need to know about!
