I hope you all are enjoying the sunshine! It’s still cold out, for sure, but the sun sure does help.
One thing I have failed to mention is the risk for flurries tonight. Radar shows that batch of flurries well off to our west this afternoon. That activity is dropping in our direction. That area of precipitation is associated with a disturbance that is riding on our warm front that will arrive tonight.
If you recall from this morning’s forecast, I mentioned that winds would switch to the south tonight, keeping temps steady in the mid teens. Well, that wind shift is due to a warm front and that warm front, with the help of a weak disturbance, could lead to snow flurries and maybe even a snow shower tonight. Accumulation is expected to stay around a dusting or so (if any). I’ll let you know if expectations change with that. Our super dry air will be hard to overcome, causing many of the flakes to evaporate before hitting the ground.
Enjoy the sunshine the rest of the day! I’ll keep you posted on these possible flurries for tonight.
