Monitoring Light Snow and Freezing Drizzle This Evening

Update issued at 3:10 pm on Wednesday , February 4, 2026

We’re starting to see freezing drizzle across all of the plateau, along with snow flurries. Radar shows a batch of snow showers to our northwest that will swing over parts of the plateau over the next few hours. This could created slick spots on area roadways, especially bridges and overpasses. That batch of snow can be seen on radar below.

I’ll issue special updates, as needed, through the evening.

While we have no active advisories from the NWS, I would be mindful of the possibility for slick spots from now through the night and into the morning of Thursday. I’ll let you know if any advisories are issued.

Thick fog has been a persistent issue today and that is also liable to continue. With temps going below freezing, this fog could start causing slick spots, as well.

I’ve udpated the hourly graphic. I increased snow shower chances from 30 to 50% for this afternoon and evening.

One half inch will likely be the upper end, but many of us could see a dusting to 1/4 inch for sure.
