Temps have climbed well above freezing across the region, so any snow flakes that fall won’t cause any issues. It just came a really nice snow shower here in Rinnie at 11:35. My air temp is 41°, so nothing stuck,
The air is really dry and dry air causes precip to evaporate. That evaporation cools a layer of air at about 2-3,000 feet above our heads. That cold layer freezes the falling raindrops into snowflakes, even with surface temps well above freezing.
So, enjoy the flakes! lol You never know…these might be the last of the season….
