9:15 Update: The warning has been canceled early.

The NWS has issued a severe t-storm warning for Putnam and White counties until 9:30 pm. This storm is moving east at only 15 mph. This storm is capable of producing a damaging wind gust. Heavy rainfall and frequent lightning are also occurring with this storm.

The warned area is highlighted in orange below and includes the cities of Cookeville, Monterey, and Sparta.
