Threats
The threat continues to look low for Wednesday, but I’ll keep a close eye on that! Check back for updates.
The threat for Wednesday is what we call “conditional”. A warm layer in the atmosphere aloft, referred to as a “cap”, may hold strong enough to keep any storms from developing. However, if this cap weakens or breaks, any storm that forms could be strong to severe.
The Storm Prediction Center has highlighted our area in the MARGINAL risk for severe storms for Wednesday.
Lunchtime Forecast
Forecast Summary
Tuesday will be a repeat of Monday, but with more clouds in the sky. We just have a slight chance for a sprinkle or two this morning.
Gusty winds will pick up late Tuesday night and be with us throughout the day Wednesday, associated with our next storm system. This system will bring a chance for scattered showers and storms. Any storm that can form could be strong to severe.
Thursday now looks drier and sunnier!
Another system moves in Friday with a slow-moving cold front. That front will bring more rain chances. Behind that system colder air filters in. We’re not through with frost yet!
