MM’s Wed Wx Forecast for June 8

An unsettled weather day is in store for the plateau, as a cold front makes its way across the region. Some storms could produce gusty winds, small hail, and very heavy rainfall. Be safe if you’re out and about when of these storms blows in. The front clears out overnight and leaves us with a much nicer Thursday, before another system brings a chance for showers and storms by Friday afternoon, lasting into that night. Those storms are not expected to be severe. The weekend is looking good at this point.

MM News

I was so honored to be asked to speak to the Cumberland County Master Gardeners Tuesday evening. We talked weather and plants and I had plenty to say! (ha) I even got to share my experience with NASA’s Veggie Lab and all the conundrums of growing plants in low to no gravity. I truly enjoyed the evening and I’m so thankful to have had the opportunity to meet such a wonderful group of people.

I look so forward to emceeing Rita Reali’s book reveal on Saturday! Doors open at 2:00 at the Knights of Columbus (2892 US-70). Come out if you can! Rita is donating a portion of her book sales this month to Creative Compassion’s mission to help folks facing financial emergencies. Let me know if you have any questions!
