Tuesday Upate (4:15)

Rain has moved in a couple hourse earlier than expected, but that should help keep our severe threat lower. Nevertheless, I’ll continue to monitor the situation through the evening.

Much stronger storms are to our south and those strongest storms are expected to stay well to our south.

Don’t be surprised if you hear thunder this evening. Severe storms are not expected with this batch of rain moving through now.

Right now, the risk for any stronger storms looks to come after midnight, though that risk continues to look very low.

The latest short-term model runs show some storms coming around the 2:00 a.m. hour. Those are the ones that could contain gusty winds, small hail, and heavy rainfall. I’ll watch it all very closely.

Look for more updates through the evening.
