This Week’s Hazards

Five-Day Outlook

Tuesday: Partly cloudy and warmer! Light winds finally turn from the south.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny. Warming trend continues in earnest! Windy, with wind gusts to 20 mph.

Thursday: Clouds and sun. Mild. Windy, with wind gusts to 20 mph.

Friday: Mostly cloudy, with a chance for showers. Windy, with wind gusts to 20 mph. Rain becomes likely overnight.

New Year’s Eve: Showers likely.

Forecast Discussion & Concerns

A warming trend begins in earnest on Wednesday. By the end of the week, temps will be in the 50s! Winds will increase from the south on Wednesday, becoming quiet gusty. Those winds will be with us through Friday. That warmer air will bring rain chances back into the region by Friday.

With warmer temps next week and another storm system on the way, I’ll be monitoring for more rain and storm chances. Right now, there are no clear signals for severe storms, but I’ll monitor that closely.
