Storms are getting closer at this hour and are now about halfway between us and Nashville. There is currently a tornado warning in southern Middle Tn and it is confirmed to be a touchdown. That storm is in that area of southern Middle TN that has always looked most concerning.
All in all, storms have behaved themselves. That is likely due to the cloud cover keeping temps from getting as warm as they would have otherwise been. Breaks in the clouds we saw earlier have filled in with other clouds and that is a good thing.
We’re still not out of the woods, but things are looking a bit better.
A tornado watch remains in effect until 7:00 pm. (FYI, there has been some confusion with that time being 6 or 7 but the official SPC watch still says 7:00)
