Good evening, everyone! The forecast continues to look on track. A line of strong to severe storms is poised to cross the Mississippi River within the hour. That line will then weaken as it moves across West Tennessee and toward the Nashville area. The line should weaken even more as it moves across Middle Tennessee during the night. The line could still contain some heavy downpours of rain and gusty winds when it arrives here between 1:00 and 4:00 a.m.
The line could still contain a strong storm or two, but widespread severe weather is not expected.
A new line of showers and storms is expected to form tomorrow morning by 9:00 a.m. between the plateau and Nashville. That line should move through here between 10:00 a.m. and noon. That line is not expected to contain severe storms as it crosses the plateau, but I’ll monitor that closely. That line could be severe by the time it reaches Knoxville.
You all take care. I’ll keep an eye on things.
