Today’s Hourly Weather

Local 5-Day Forecast for the Plateau
Local matters, especially when it comes to your weather forecast! Bringing you your local weather since 2017!
Winds of change begin to blow today…
Those winds will blow in rain showers for our Wednesday that are associated with a system that will bring in colder air. Those shower chances will be elevated all day. That colder air will turn rain showers to snow showers by sunset Wednesday. Light accumulation of snowfall is possible, especially for the western edges of the plateau (Mayland to Monterey to Jamestown). Up to an inch of snow is possible.
Snow flurries should continue into Thursday morning, along with very cold temps. Gusty northerly winds will make it feel much colder.
Another system kicks up the winds from the southwest on Friday. That system should bring more snow flurries to the plateau for Friday night and Saturday. Stay tuned, as that portion of the forecast is subject to change.

Threat Outlook

As I said last night, the short-term models handle northwest flow snow better than the long range ones do. This is one of those models, coming in with snow showers through the night, along with light accumulation for those of us on the plateau.
