MM’s Weather Worries

MM’s Wx Analysis
After yesterday’s severe weather in the Upper Midwest, today’s weather map shows the active weather has shifted much farther south and can be found across much of western Texas and southeast New Mexico. Those folks will deal with flash flood threats today. Elsewhere, just a few showers can be found across the middle of the country and up to New England. A few snow showers are likely across the mountains of the Pacific Northwest. Tropical Storm Vance weakened to a depression yesterday but then regained enough strength to become a low-end tropical storm again this morning. That system will make landfall tonight on the west coast of Mexico with minimum impacts.

The percentage of the land area of the contiguous U.S. covered in snow is at 3%. Yesterday it was 4%.
