The NWS has issued a severe t-storm warning for parts of central and southern Morgan County until 2:15 CDT (3:15 EDT). This warning includes Wartburg, Lancing, and Nemo. This storm has gusty winds that could produce wind damage. Flash flooding is also possible. This storm is moving toward the Harriman area.

2:30 Update: The Storm Prediction Center has now dropped the “slight” risk from Monday’s severe weather outlook. I mentioned that in this morning’s forecast and told you all I would have to look more into that (it didn’t make sense. ha). Now, they’re dropped but we do remain in the marginal risk (the lowest of the five risk categories), which makes more sense.

The NWS has issued a flash flood warning for southeast Cumberland County until 4:00 pm this Saturday afternoon. This includes areas around Crab Orchard, Big Lick, Grassy Cove, and Tansi. Radar estimates show 2-3 inches of rain has fallen in these areas, with another inch of rain possible. The map below shows the warned area highlighted in green.
Remember to never drive across flooded roads, especially if the water is moving.
