The dry air that we had in place yesterday really worked a number on the disturbance we had come through overnight and this morning. Therefore, rainfall amounts have been quite light. The rest of our day doesn’t look too bad, with mostly cloudy skies and a chance for a shower. Tonight, the rain picks up a bit and that will continue into Sunday. By Sunday evening, temps will begin dropping and any leftover moisture will turn to light snow Sunday night. I will say that the expected rainfall amounts have now been lowered. It had looked like we would get 1-2 inches, but I don’t think there’s any way we’ll get up to 2 inches, especially with the low tracking farther south. I still think we could get 0.5-1 inch, though.
As for snow amounts, I still feel comfortable saying about an inch, though we could certainly end up with nothing and we could end up with a few inches. Confidence in us getting at least some snow is rather high. The question is how much? Again, I’m comfortable going with one inch.
I’ll be here watching it all weekend! We’re still looking at cool temps to start our week next week, with a nice warming trend kicking in by Thursday.
I’ll be updating, as needed!
