I hope you find this timeline helpful! I will update this as we go through the day and as we get closer to the event. This is a good starting point and my confidence is rather high in this working out. Keep in mind that some of you will stay colder longer (typical colder spots) and have higher impacts for a longer period of time. This timeline is flexible by at least a couple of hours within each timeframe, so take the exact timeframes with a grain of salt.
Precip will begin as snow and sleet. Accumulation is likely.
Snow and sleet will transition to freezing rain and sleet. Light accumulation is expected.
Ice impacts are expected mainly for sidewalks, steps, bridges and roads. Minimal impacts are expected for trees and powerlines.
Precip will transition back to light snow, much like what we saw with this last system, with light accumulation likely.

I will tackle this in a later update today. Right now, I’m about 100% sure there will not be school in Putnam and Overton Counties on Wednesday.
Meteorologist Mark’s Wx Discussion
I’ll not take too much time in this section, as I will be elaborating in later posts today and tomorrow about what my thoughts are. It is looking more and more like many of us will avoid a major winter storm, as warm air is pushed into our region just as the heaviest precip arrives. If any of that changes, impacts will change. Stay tuned.
On This Day in Wx History
1999- Lightning hits the Coffee County Consolidated Communications Center in Manchester, and knocks out emergency 911 calls for about an hour. The center also handles dispatch calls for area law enforcement, fire, and ambulance services. Emergency calls have to be routed through the jail. This is the second time in 12 years the center is struck by lightning.
