MM’s Wx Vlog
Weather Summary
Today looks superb, with sunny skies, mild temps, and light winds.
This is the calm before a very unsettled pattern.
We need to be weather aware from Wednesday night to Friday morning for various hazards.
By Wednesday, clouds increase and that leads to a return of showers by Wednesday afternoon
and evening. There is a risk for a storm Wednesday evening that could be on the
strong side. The Storm Prediction Center is highlighting southern Middle TN in
a marginal risk for severe storms for Wednesday evening and overnight. I’ll
monitor that closely. Rain could be heavy Wednesday night and early Thursday
morning.
Thursday looks showery and mild but any storm that develops could be severe. By Thursday night, rain and storms
become more widespread and the risk for severe storms increases. By Friday,
rain and storms will be moving out, hopefully by early afternoon. That sets the
stage for a nice weekend.

The tornado traveled a distance of 40 miles killing six persons, injuring 350 others, and causing 28.5 million dollars damage. The tornado swept homes right off their foundations, and tossed eighteen wheel trucks about like toys. Strong straight line winds associated with the powerful storm system gusted to 70 mph at Jonesboro, Arkansas and Carbondale, Illinois.
