Please stay tuned for updates to the weekend forecast. The exact track of Isaias will determine our impacts here on the plateau. Confidence is increasing that we’ll see impactful weather from the system.

MM’s Weather Worries

MM’s Wx Analysis
High pressure is control of much of the country, with the most active weather being in the Gulf.

Guidance continues to trend toward a landfall of Isaias on the northern Gulf Coast somewhere near Mobile, Alabama. Guidance also continues to trend toward a stronger storm. It now looks like the storm will be a cat 2, perhaps cat 3, at landfall. Anyone with travel plans to the Gulf Coast (especially the Florida Panhandle) will need to check their plans and make sure you can still go there.
As for the plateau, our impacts will be determined by where that center tracks over TN. If we remain east of the center, our impacts will be higher. If we can get west of the center, our impacts will be substantially lower. I’ll keep an eye on things.
